The worldwide network of coaches, consultants and sales professionals dedicated to supporting the development, advocacy, and instruction of ethical selling practices, and a buyer centric approach to client interactions.
Why are you here?
It’s likely that you were directed here by a friend, mentor, or colleague, because they felt that you might resonate with our message, or appreciate the format of interactions that we facilitate.
We prefer to limit the promotion or marketing of these sessions to personal referrals and organic word of mouth. Sellers Anonymous is not a product or brand, and does not condone or encourage the direct selling of any specific service or product. This is a space for reflection, transparency, and growth.
But as with all business networking groups, we inevitably form strong connections with one another. With so many consultants and sales professionals in one space, it’s inevitable that there will be significant opportunity to do business with one another, we simply ask that those discussions take place outside of the sessions as much as possible.
What is a “session” and how do I attend?
Sellers Anonymous sessions are held at three different time slots to accommodate the many time zones and busy schedules of our members. These Zoom meetings are currently being held every other week and you can see the upcoming sessions by clicking HERE.
Sessions are free to join, and we encourage you to invite anyone you think would enjoy or add insight to the discussion. There are typically two types of meetings:
Speaker Sessions– This is where an individual speaker leads off for 20 minutes or so, talking about their personal journey in sales. Where they came from, how they progressed, and where they are at now. The focus is on how the companies and bosses they worked for, colleagues and mentors they learned from, customers, and systems they navigated affected them personally and professionally.
After they’ve spoken, the other attendees take turns responding to the narrative. Talking about how it made them feel, and what memories of their own experiences it brought to mind.
Subject Matter Sessions – This is where the host of the meeting kicks off a conversation around one of the 12 pillars of Sellers Anonymous, focusing on how they interpret the message and relevancy of that particular mantra in their own life, and the importance of it’s role in earning and deserving the trust of clients and colleagues.
The 12 pillars are the core principles that we use to guide our discussions and decision making when it comes to our interaction with buyers. Much like the 12 steps of AA or the commandments of any faith, adhering to these principles IS the primary goal of anyone who adopts this approach. Even when we fail to live up to the ideals we espouse, these pillars help guide us back onto the path we are attempting to walk.
What are the 12 pillars of Sellers Anonymous?
This is the mantra that we adopt and reinforce constantly in order to center our focus on the needs of the buyer. It is a promise that we make to ourselves, and an approach that we hope to inspire in others, as we demonstrate the power of radical empathy and unencumbered transparency.
In my dealings with Buyers, I will…
Put Buyers First – by prioritizing their needs and goals above making a sale.
Act with Integrity – by striving to always be honest, transparent, and unbiased.
Seek Understanding – by being curious and asking thoughtful questions.
Validate Their Perspective – by understanding their needs, goals and values.
Be Sincere – by respectfully challenging their thinking with relevant information.
Reduce Their Risk – by recognizing vulnerabilities and suggesting ways of managing them.
Focus on Outcomes – by crafting results that they would consider a successful solution.
Offer Fair Terms – by matching the price I would offer to others in similar circumstances.
Enable Their Advocacy – by giving them the tools and strategies to win internal support.
Respect Their Timing – by acknowledging that they will buy when they are ready.
Support Their Success – by ensuring they are properly equipped to benefit from what they buy.
Keep Growing – by improving my skills and knowledge and providing greater value.
